Overview:
A 3 axle 60 ton dump trailer has been successfully manufactured and shipped to Cameroon. The trailer was produced and inspected in our factory, has passed pre-delivery quality checks and is currently on its way to the port of Douala. Upon arrival, it will be used in mining, road construction and infrastructure projects to meet customers’ heavy material transport needs.
Customer Requirements in Cameroon
Due to ongoing mining and infrastructure development in Cameroon, the demand for heavy duty Dump semi equipment is increasing. Materials such as iron ore, bauxite, sand, gravel, and excavated soil often require long-distance transport along challenging roads.
In this project, the client requires a 3 axle 60 ton dump trailer capable of handling high-density materials while maintaining stability and durability in harsh working environments.
Some mining and construction areas have unpaved roads with muddy sections, uneven terrain, and rough surfaces, especially during the rainy season. These conditions necessitate a trailer with a reinforced chassis, robust suspension system, reliable braking performance, and excellent bending and torsional rigidity.
Heavy-Duty Structure for 60 Ton Loads
To meet the customer’s requirements, the 3 axle 60 ton dump trailer uses a reinforced high-strength steel structure.
The main beams manufacture from Q345B/BS700 high-strength steel and use a deep I-beam structure. Automatic submerged-arc welding helps provide consistent weld quality and improves the overall structural strength of the trailer.
The dump body is built with wear-resistant steel plates:
8 mm floor plate for heavy impact resistance
6 mm side plates for improved durability
Reinforced structure for transporting heavy and abrasive materials
This configuration helps the trailer withstand repeated loading of ore, gravel, rock, and other bulk materials while reducing deformation and extending service life.
Reliable Hydraulic Dumping System
In mining and construction operations, frequent unloading is common, making hydraulic systems an essential component of trailers.
Rear dump semi trailers equip with heavy-duty multi-stage hydraulic cylinders, such as HYVA cylinders, providing powerful lifting force and smooth unloading performance. The hydraulic system enables efficient lifting and lowering of the cargo box, helping operators reduce unloading time in repetitive work cycles.
For enhanced safety, 3 axle dump trailers can also equip with stability and hydraulic limit protection devices to reduce the risk of excessive cargo box movement when unloading on uneven or slightly sloping ground.
Heavy-Duty Tailgate Design
The rear tailgate uses a mechanical locking system to keep the cargo securely contained during transportation.
A properly sealed tailgate helps reduce the leakage of sand, gravel, and other loose materials while the trailer is traveling between loading and unloading sites. During hydraulic tipping, the tailgate opens to allow the cargo to discharge efficiently.
This practical design is particularly useful for mining and infrastructure projects where the trailer may complete multiple loading and unloading cycles every day.
